L’Euphrate en Mésopotamie

  • L’Œil en Seyne Festival (La Seyne-sur-Mer, France)
  • October 2004

For the past ten years, Yves Gellie has travelled through the Near East and collected a serie of pictures so as to build a contemporary portrait of Mesopotamia. His work puts into perspective a common vision of Mesopotamia that is similar to a myth, as well as a contemporary Mesopotamia, which, beyond the passing of time and history, reveals permanences and recurrences specific of the human and geographic entity.
